Transport around the animal reserves is in your own car/minibus/coach. All vehicles take the same route and the drive takes approximately one hour. You can tour the reserves as often as you like during the day.
Throughout the day in our Leisure Area, we have a varied programme of animal talks and demonstrations. These are open to the general public and there is no need to pre-book. Information regarding the animal demonstrations and attractions will be handed to you on arrival at the Safari Park.
All demonstrations/keeper talks are accessible by wheelchair, with space available either at the back or at the sides of the tiered seating, depending on the demonstrations/keeper talks. Please make yourself/your group known to a member of staff at the beginning of a demonstrations/keeper talks, in case of emergency evacuation.
The majority of the Leisure Area is accessible by wheelchair although movement around the attractions can sometimes involve a steep gradient. Ramps have been fitted wherever possible.
Wheelchairs are welcome in this attraction and staff are available in the reception area, to give advice before your enter the Aviary.
Australian walkabout has a specially designed route for wheelchair users.'Monkey Business' and Land of the Lemurs are also accessible by wheelchair.
All entrances allow disabled access and the food counter is also accessible. Some tables are available with movable seating to enable wheelchair access and staff are happy to assist with taking trays to tables. Hearing loops are fitted at till points throughout the Safari Park.
Most aisles are accessible by wheelchair. Staff are also happy to assist disabled visitors tour the shop on a 'one to one' basis wherever possible, helping them with their shopping. Hearing loops are fitted at till points throughout the Safari Park.
Parking bays are provided for blue badge holders in the main Leisure Area car park.
Located at the main entrance to the park, in the Safari Restaurant, Mammoth Ark play area, outside the Animal Encounters area, in the main toilet block by Junglies gift shop and adjacent to the Badger Valley play area.
A limited number of wheelchairs are available from Junglies Gift Shop on the day of your visit, free of charge. It is advisable to book in advance by calling Junglies Gift Shop on 01525 290826.
Please approach any member of Woburn staff who will immediately contact one of the several qualified first aiders on site.
Special rates are available for groups of disabled visitors.
Disabled visitors are entitled to a discounted entry rate of £6.50 per person. To qualify for this rate your disability blue badge MUST be shown when entering the park (one badge needed per person). Carers may also enter at the concessionary rate, with a 1:1 ratio.
